Walking into the Tea Fields, Embracing the Wild
The RPL team traveled about two hours to a local tea farm in Beihai for a nature-based experience focused on tea picking and stream tracing.
Although it was winter and the tea bushes had just been pruned, we could still find many delicate white tea flowers and fresh new buds in the fields.
Before the activities began, everyone enjoyed a farmhouse lunch made with fresh local ingredients, providing energy for the day ahead.
After lunch, students entered the tea fields under the guidance of local instructors, learning how to identify tea leaves and experience traditional hand-picking.
The group then took part in a stream-tracing activity, walking along the mountain stream, stepping over stones, and enjoying the natural surroundings at a relaxed pace.
The day concluded with a tea-tasting session at the farm, where participants experienced the journey of tea from leaf to cup.
It was a simple and refreshing one-day experience close to nature.
